If you’re heading to McCallman field to watch Nyack and Clarkstown South renew their rivalry in the second annual Patriot Cup game, give the kids a hand.
The boys and girls teams from both schools along with members of the Clarkstown Patriots youth lacrosse program joined forces to support the Friends of Jaclyn Foundation. The local organization provides programs that help improve the quality of life for children dealing with brain tumors.
A check for $4,000 will be presented to Denis Murphy, who is the Friends of Jaclyn Foundation executive director, and his daughter, Jaclyn, a brain cancer survivor, at halftime of the 7 p.m. game. The funds were raised on March 30 when members of the varsity and junior varsity lacrosse teams from both schools, along with participants in the youth league ran a nine-hour marathon line drill.
